Disclaimer
My name is Doug and I have been successfully trading shares since 2005, initially investing in the financial sector. I started by virtually trading online and after a couple of years of making serious virtual profits I decided it was time to invest some real money!
My first serious trades were recovery plays following the crash in 2008. This, at the time seemed like to much of a good opportunity to miss and I doubled the value of my investments within my first year of trading.
Since then I have moved into the retail sector and more recently the majority of my investments are commodities. In June 2010 I started “Dailytrading.co.uk” as an online diary to record my trades and keep a record of my thoughts and decisions. For the purpose of the site I decided to start a new portfolio and bought a selection of shares with an initial investment of 10k. In the last six months the value of the portfolio has grown to over 20k and hopefully will continue to rise! I will continue to record the progress of this portfolio and from time to time include details of some of my other investments.
This is not a tipping site and I am not recommending anyone follow my trades. I am merely stating my positions, so please remember that any info given on this site is purely an opinion and should not be taken as advice! I am not regulated by the FSA and I am not qualified to give “Individual investment advice”
Always do your own research, and I would recommend taking advice from a qualified, FSA regulated advisor before investing any of your hard earned money. Advice I can offer you – never invest more than what you cannot afford to lose and always remember that stocks go down as well as up.
I hope you enjoy your visit to “Dailytrading” you will be able to following my Success’s and failures as I venture further into this exciting new world! Under the “trades” section of the site I will try to publish a table of the week’s trades so you can keep track of progress. I will also provide a brief weekly update giving some kind of reasoning and any thought that may or may not have been given to the trades! Please remember that although I will do my best, I cannot guarantee that any info given on this site is accurate and my opinions should definitely not be taken as advice!
